EPA, eicosapentaeonic acid, from Nordic Naturals provides 850 mg of EPA per serving. Available only from fish or fish oil, this important Omega-3 fatty acid is recommended by doctors for heart health and immune support. EPA has been widely studied for the treatment of cardiovascular disease, autoimmune conditions, arthritis, women’s health issues, and for general wellness. Although it is thought that the human body can make EPA from other dietary fatty acids, research has shown it does not make enough of it to fulfil our health requirements for optimal wellness.
