One of the tell tales signs of good health to the regularity of bowel movements, and the consistency of the stool. Bowel regularity assists the body remove waste as quickly and as effortlessly as possible. Like a regularly cleaned out rubbish bin, the waste doesn’t have time to fester and contaminate the area. Think of it this way, would you leave food scraps alone for 2-3 weeks in a warm moist environment? 

A regular bowel movement is very individual, and what constitutes as ‘regular’ is what is regular for you, as this may vary from 2-3 times a day to 2-3 times a week, and even once a week. Only if these cycles change do you need to raise concern.
