Aniseed (Pimpinella anisum):  The oils in Aniseed soothe and relax the gut wall, reducing the production of gas in the digestive tract.  It has a pleasant taste that is commonly used to improve the taste of medicines for children, increasing compliance.
Chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla):  Effective for soothing digestive upsets due to its calming and relaxing action.  Commonly used for gastric upsets, bloating, and bowel regularity.  Chamomile helps to relax muscles and calm nerves.
Cinnamon (Cinnamomum zeylanicum):  Helps relieve flatulence and support gastric comfort.
Dandelion root (Taraxacum officinale):  Promotes an overall healthy digestive system by supporting healthy liver and gallbladder function.  This bitter plant increases digestive juices and helps to break down food.
Fennel seed (Foeniculum vulgare): With alkalising properties, this plant helps treat gastric discomfort and colic.  Fennel seed helps relieve excess gas as well as relax the digestive tract.  Fennel is especially useful for soothing infant colic.
