Get prepared for the festive season with this easy and delicious slice. You can add in any nut or fruit you want – even dark chocolate chips for extra antioxidants if you wanted! Tahini is a nutrient powerhouse and high in calcium, but if that’s not your thing then add in almond or cashew butter.
Time to make: 20 minutes               Serves: 24 pieces

  • 1 cup puffed rice
  • 1 ½ cups puffed quinoa
  • ¼ cup chopped apricots
  • ¼ cup chopped pistachio nuts
  • ½ tsp vanilla powder
  • 2 ½ tsp Lifestream Calcium Powder
  • ½ cup brown rice syrup
  • ½ cup tahini
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil

  • Line a baking tin (28cm x 18cm). Mix together quinoa, puffed rice, nuts and apricots in a large bowl. Add vanilla powder and calcium powder.
  • Melt the tahini, coconut oil and brown rice syrup in a saucepan over a low heat. Mix thoroughly and then add to dry ingredients. Pour into tin, press down and put in the fridge to set for one hour. Once set, cut into even slices.
  • Store in sealed container in the fridge for one week (can also be frozen for school lunches).
