CoQ10 350mg with Vitamin D3
Co-Enzyme Q10 (CoQ10) is a vitamin-like substance found in every energy-producing cell of the human body. It plays a major role in the production of energy with its role in the manufacturing of ATP, especially in the heart; it helps this organ beat more than 100,000 times each day. CoQ10 provides the cells with the energy they need to digest food, heal wounds and help maintain healthy muscles. In addition, CoQ10 acts as an intracellular antioxidant, helping to neutralise free radical damage and also works in conjunction with vitamin E.
Statin medication is prescribed to lower cholesterol by inhibiting the HMG-CoA reductase, a liver enzyme as part of the melvonate pathway. Like cholesterol, CoQ10 is an end product of this pathway and, as a result of the reduction of this enzyme, the longterm use of statin drugs lead to CoQ10 depletion in the body. Supplementing with CoQ10 can assist in replenishing blood levels of CoQ10. Some of the common side effects of statin medication are muscle fatigue and pain, as well as depleted energy levels.
Cardiovascular diseases such as congestive heart disease, hypertension, high cholesterol, angina, cardiomyopathy, mitral valve prolapse, coronary bypass and angina can benefit from CoQ10 supplementation.
CoQ10 is necessary for the metabolism of fatty acids within cardiac cells. Fatty acids are the heart’s primary source of energy for effective pumping of the blood around the body. The CoQ10 used in this formula is naturally fermented. Naturally-fermented CoQ10 is better assimilated and does not contain any impurities that can be present in synthetically produced CoQ10.
Vitamin D3 is added to this high potency formula for its additional health benefits. There has been recent research into the effectiveness of vitamin D in the prevention of heart disease.

Co-Q10 FAQ's
-
What is Co-Q10, and what does it do in the body?
Coenzyme Q10 (Co-Q10) is a naturally occurring antioxidant that helps your body produce energy at a cellular level. It plays a key role in mitochondrial function and supports overall energy production, heart health, and antioxidant defence. -
What are the main benefits of taking a Co-Q10 as a supplement?
Co-Q10 may support cardiovascular health, energy levels, exercise recovery, and protection against oxidative stress. It’s also often used by people taking statin medications, which may reduce the body’s natural Co-Q10 levels -
Who might benefit from Co-Q10 supplementation?
People over 40, those with cardiovascular concerns, or anyone experiencing low energy may benefit from Co-Q10. It's especially helpful for those on cholesterol-lowering statins, as these medications can deplete Co-Q10 in the body. -
When is the best time to take Co-Q10?
Co-Q10 is best taken with a meal that contains healthy fats, as it is fat-soluble and absorbs better with food. Many people take it in the morning or early afternoon to support energy throughout the day. -
