Harvested by hand from the pristine waters in New Zealand, air dried naturally to preserve nutrients and flavour, and then tested for contaminants. The white powder you see on the leaf is what is said to give seaweed its natural umami flavour and is not to be confused with mould.
How to eat,
– Soak in tepid water for a few minutes. Leaves will expand to 5-10 times their dry size.
– With a subtle flavour, can be used as any green vegetable is used to complement a meal.
– Great in salads, stir fries or soups.
– Re-hydrate leaf and wrap food parcels.
– Chop dry leaves and use as a seasoning.
