Doctor's Best Alpha-Lipoic Acid 600 is a powerful antioxidant that is both fat and water soluble; it is sometimes referred to as the 'universal antioxidant'.
Alpha-Lipoic Acid (ALA) supports the body's defence against free radicals and recycles antioxidant nutrients such as vitamins C and E as well as playing a role in the recycling of glutathione. ALA functions as a co-enzyme in the metabolism of carbohydrates. It is required for synthesis of acetyl CoA, a key metabolite in the cellular process that turns glucose into energy.
ALA provides antioxidant support. It also supports healthy glucose metabolism, healthy aging and supports cardiovascular health.
