How to make flavoured ice cubes

Summer is well and truly here. Whether you’re outside or working inside, don't forget to keep your fluids up. We’re meant to drink up to eight glasses of water a day, but if you’re like me and get bored with the taste, or forget to drink water altogether, then this little life hack might just be your lifesaver.

Flavoured ice cubes are like jewellery for your drink — eye-catching and loaded with flavour.
As the cubes melt, they add hits of flavour, turning even a plain glass of water into an aromatic sip. The best part is that these cubes are easy to make, often requiring nothing more than “chop, add water, freeze”.

MINT
Cubes containing mint leaves add a cool, refreshing taste to iced tea or water. Or, use them to make your virgin mojito even mintier!

SUMMER BERRIES
Now that the heat of summer is here, and we have an abundance of fresh berries to pick, the issue is sometimes how to keep them fresh. If you can't quite seem to eat all your berries before they go off, why don't you freeze them? Just squish blackberries, strawberries, raspberries and blueberries into the squares of an ice cube tray, fill the gaps with water and stick them in the freezer.

Flavoured ice cubes are great with any type of fruit. Oranges, pears, pineapple, apples, lemons. Get creative! It's summer! And warm!
