This tasty dip can be popped into the lunchbox and served with crackers and other freshly cut vegetables. The dip tastes cheesy but contains no dairy and has the goodness of maca powder.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raw cashew nuts soaked in water for 2 hours, then drained and rinsed
  • 1½ tbsp nutritional yeast
  • 1 tbsp Natava Superfoods Maca Powder
  • 2 tbsp freshly-squeezed lemon juice
  • ½ clove freshly-crushed garlic
  • ½ tsp sea salt
  • ¼ tsp freshly cut chives
  • Pinch of black pepper
  • ¼ cup filtered water

Method:

  • Place all ingredients (except water) in a high-speed food processor and pulse until all cashews have broken down and it forms a damp, crumbly mixture.
  • Scrape the sides down with a spatula then turn the processor on. Slowly drizzle water into the mixture until it forms a smooth consistency, similar to hummus. Add more water if needed.
  • Add lemon, salt, pepper, or other herbs to taste, and blend again.
  • Serve with crackers and store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to six days.
