Plant for Protein
Why are people opting for plant proteins?
Protein supplements are growing in popularity amongst athletes and regular people to support their exercise regimes. Protein is essential for healthy muscles, blood and organs, and our body needs it to create essential fatty acids, enzymes and hormones. The most common type is whey protein, which comes from cows and is known for its great range of essential amino acids. However increasingly people are choosing to move to plant-based proteins like pea, hemp, soy or brown rice for their many benefits. Apart from being suitable for vegetarians and vegans, plant-based proteins are easy to digest, generally will not cause bloating, are hypoallergenic and are great to support detox programs.
Vital Protein
Vital Protein is a superior plant protein, containing the highest quality European golden peas, sourced from Belgium. It contains over 18 amino acids, matching the profile of whey proteins which is unique for a vegetable protein. Being a plant sourced protein, it is easily digestible and unlike whey proteins does not cause bulking or bloating. Vital Protein is commonly used to support weight management, containing less than 1% natural sugar and less than 100 calories per serve. It is also a clean protein with no artificial flavours, colours, preservatives, or sweeteners added. It is available in three delicious flavours vanilla, chocolate, and strawberry.
Vital Pea & Hemp Protein
The Vital Protein range was grown in 2018, with the addition of the Vital Pea & Hemp Protein. It is a blend of 70% of the vanilla Vital Protein and 30% Canadian hemp protein powder. Together the blend is a nutritious, all natural, superior plant protein. It is easily digestible, has a smooth texture and with the Vanilla flavour from the Vital Protein has a delicious flavour. It has all the benefits of our Vital Protein with fibre, essential fatty acids, GLA, Vitamin E from the hemp protein powder.
Recycled Packaging
Recently, the whole Vital Protein range was transitioned to rPet jars, jars made from 100% recycled plastic matter. Our packaging was always recyclable, but this transition means it is both recyclable and made from 100% recycled plastic. This was an important change for Vital, meaning we were no longer contributing to new plastics being introduced and previous used plastics were being reused in our jars.
