What are MCTs?
Medium Chain Triglycerides (MCTs) are a good type of fat found in small amounts in dairy foods like butter, cheese and coconut oil. They are digested differently to normal dietary fats and this gives them a point of difference for both health and performance. MCTs have many benefits, including:
- Fuelling mental and physical performance
- Helping you get into and stay in ketosis.
Coconut-derived medium chain triglycerides are easily absorbed and converted in the liver to ketones which help fuel the brain and body for mental and physical performance, thus making them perfect for trying to get back into the zone when returning to work or study after a break away. Ketones allow your body to produce energy from good fats, rather than from sugar and carbohydrates.
