Slippery Elm has been used traditionally in Western herbal medicine for its ability to soothe the gastrointestinal lining.
Slippery elm is mainly used today for its anti-inflammatory activity in the respiratory and digestive tracts, for relieving symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome and normalising bowel function, and topically for skin disorders and wounds. It can be used as a food during convalescence.
Nature's Way Slippery Elm can support suffers of indigestion, heartburn, reflux, inflammation or ulceration of the digestive tract. Also Slippery Elm may aide irritable bowel syndrome (IBS), constipation or diarrhoea and respiratory tract inflammation
