Papaya (Carica papaya) contains the naturally occurring property 'papain'; a powerful enzyme that helps break down protein. For centuries, people have tenderized meats by wrapping them in the leaves of the papaya tree prior to cooking, and this same process may also assist the bodies absorption of proteins, especially animal proteins.
Nature's Sunshine Papaya Mints are ideal for temporary relief of indigestion and symptomatic relief of non-specific dyspepsia such as a feeling of fullness or discomfort after meals, belching, nausea, heartburn, flatulence, digestive cramps/spasm.
